Hiram Calf Looking Sr. (Egal Gun) is a member of the Blackfeet Nation in Browning Montana. Hiram was raised half urban/half reservation. He has lived in Seattle Washington for almost 30 years. Hiram is the parent of two children (one daughter and one son), and eight grandchildren. He has volunteered and work in the Native American community as an advocate for youth & Families for the past 25 years. Hiram is on various boards and committee's in the Native community to help ensure the voices of our people are heard.
Hiram credits his most valuable learning experiences to his elders, children, youth and families and communities he has had the Honor to work with. Advocating for our people is one thing he takes to be one of the Creator's honored paths for him. Hiram's visions is to capture the language and stories from elders and story keepers to continue sharing them for future generations. |
